“In April 2022, Khaity Technologies Effectively Finalized the Impact Assessment of the Federal Initiative, ‘Promotion of Olive Cultivation on a Commercial Scale in Pakistan, 2014-2021”

Olive Cultivation: It’s encouraging to see that olive cultivation has been successfully initiated on marginal lands, providing new opportunities for landowners and farmers. It’s particularly heartening to hear that 17% of the sampled orchards have already started fruiting.

Environmental Impact: The project seems to have had a positive environmental impact, helping to curtail land degradation and promoting better water consumption and management through drip irrigation.

Economic Impact: The project has also had a significant economic impact, creating 15,416 jobs, which is a substantial contribution to poverty alleviation.

Strengthening Capacity: Through the focus on various areas including orchard management, nursery production, value addition, business planning and marketing of oil, the initiative has strengthened the capacity of both public and private sectors in the industry.
